Spring is finally rolling in to Seattle and you guys, I seriously can’t wait for warmer weather. It’s been a long few months of wind, rain, and cold. In an effort to bring on the sunshine I started pulling some of my spring/summer clothes out of storage to mix them in with my winter clothes for transitional outfits. One of my summer staples is white
I thought I’d start Monday off with a bang by sharing this DIY that I’m SO excited about! My cosmetic storage situation has been looking pretty pitiful, so I’ve been brainstorming a chic solution for makeup brush storage for quite a while now. I knew leather would be perfect because it’s so durable & easy to work with. When I came across these edgy looking
Who else is totally loving the eye motif trend lately? I can’t get enough of anything eye print, and I’ve been crushing hard on all the adorable Anya Hindmarch eyes… I mean, it looks like a little creature. He’s so cute! Unfortunately the real little cutie is $1200. And while I do believe that designer bags are an exquisite treasure, sometimes you just want to get
Valentine’s Day Printable Ready for a ridiculously easy way to update your home or apartment for Valentine’s Day? All you have to do is print out this Valentine’s Day printable and stick it in a frame. Boom. Done! It’s heavy on the black so I recommend getting it printed at the office supply store to save yourself some ink (it cost me $0.10 to print
This post was meant to go up earlier this week, but I was having some major technical difficulties on the site. I have this thing for accessories. Handbags get all the glory (and oh, how I do love them too!), but small leather goods always feel like a luxurious indulgence to me. I mean, 99% of the time, nobody even sees them! But that’s what makes little accessories so special… it’s like a little gift to yourself every time you pull something pretty out of your bag.
Sometimes the simplest projects surprise me with their beauty. I was looking for a something to add a little flavor to my classic black tote bag and decided a tassel would be perfect. Little did I know how drop dead gorgeous these would turn out with the “rose gold hardware”… which is actually a copper pipe coupling from the plumbing section of the hardware store!
You know what I love? Cashmere. Soft, cuddly, lightweight, and toasty warm… it doesn’t get better than that! You know what I don’t love? The price of cashmere. Some things are worth splurging on, but you won’t find this gal throwing down $3k on a sweater collection. Nope nope nope. Second hand cashmere is the way to go my friends! I buy them at the thrift
After 8 years of splitting the holidays between our families, this will be the first Christmas that both Dan’s and my family will celebrate together. My family was kind enough to make the drive up from California, so it was important to me to make them feel at home by incorporating some of our family Christmas traditions. One of my favorite longstanding holiday traditions: Christmas crackers! What the heck
Hey Lovelies, are you all done with your holiday shopping? I think I’m finally done, thanks to my old pal the internet. Unfortunately it turned into sort of a one for you, one for me situation and I ended up with a few goodies for myself when I really shouldn’t have… damn you Madewell and your tempting coupon codes! Online shopping is a cruel temptress.
