But on a more serious note (can we get serious for a sec?)… in my personal life I’ve bitten off a little more than I can chew. And it turns out that I’m not the invincible multi-tasker that I thought I was… apparently when you try to do everything you end up giving up sleep.
And with no sleep, creativity goes out the window… so thank you SO MUCH to my BBFs for giving me with some killer post ideas, I appreciate you guys more than you know!
So today instead of just giving you the styling scoop on my outfit, I thought I’d talk a little bit about self care. Because maybe if I write it down I’ll take some of my own advice 😉 In the era of social media & living out loud, there’s a lot of pressure to have a perfect life and do it all… but the reality is sometimes you just can’t. Life isn’t all unicorns and rainbows. And that’s okay! So here’s 10 simple ways to go easy on yourself:
10 Easy Ways To Practice Self Care (Even If Your Schedule Is Crammed):
- drink more water
- go to bed 30 minutes early
- eat dinner at the dining table (not in front of the tv!)
- go for walk
- give yourself an at home facial
- wear your hair in a pony and sleep in for 20 extra minutes
- don’t check your phone after 8PM
- compliment yourself
- skip the elevator, take the stairs
- wake up 10 minutes early to meditate (or have a mini yoga session)
Really the big trick is remembering that the world won’t crumble down around you if you don’t check off your to-do list for the day. Long term happiness is more valuable than short term productivity, so treat yo’ self right <3
