Gone are the days of toner, serum, and waiting for products to dry between layers. Right now my beauty priorities = fast + effective. Baby K dictates my schedule (and by that I mean there really is no schedule), but I’ve made it a priority to carve out just a TINY bit of time to keep up a beauty routine… especially during this chronically sleep deprived phase it feels even more important to cheat my way to looking fresh faced!
5 Minutes Or Less To Glowing Skin
With the right products I’ve found that I don’t really “need” to wear makeup anymore (although I still do a quick face on most days). But changing my morning makeup from a need into a want is clutch, because sometime I just don’t have the time or energy to put any on. Here’s the lowdown on my time saving holy grail skincare finds:
- The Makeup Eraser – This microfiber cloth is one of my favorite discoveries of the year… I’m already planning on giving them to my friends for Christmas! It literally wipes off all of your makeup (waterproof mascara included) and gently exfoliates with just warm water… I’ve been skipping face wash completely for the last few months. I use this cloth in the shower or quickly run it over my face while I’m brushing my teeth at night.
- Sunday Riley Good Genes – Expensive, but oh so worth it. Although I cleared up my cystic acne through dietary changes, my skin still suffers from clogged pores, redness, and general dullness on my face… until now. This lactic acid serum is like magic in a bottle and gives me amazingly smooth & even skin. At 32 I finally feel like I can leave the house without foundation!
- Laniege Lip Sleeping Mask – Am I the only one with chronically chapped lips? I slap a layer of this on right before bed (when I won’t be kissing on baby – I’m not sure how “clean” this product is) and Ta-Da! I wake up with smooth hydrated lips.
- Optional – If I need a little extra hydration AND if I have the time, I layer an oil over the Good Genes. I use a tiny bit on my under eyes too because I’m too lazy right now for a separate eye cream. My favorite is RMS Beauty Oil but when I run out I might try Sunday Riley’s Luna Oil.
Bonus Time Saver:
Move your nighttime essentials to your bedroom below a mirror or on your nightstand, that way you can apply your skincare right before your head hits the pillow. This tip has kept helped me keep up the beauty routine since I often forget until I’ve already settled in for bed.
